Elaine Ng says mother-daughter conflict is not serious

28 Mar - Former Miss Asia Elaine Ng made headlines last week after she was arrested for allegedly intimidating her daughter, Etta.

According to On CC, while she refused to speak to the media on the day she was released by the police, the radio personality was more welcoming the day after, and clarified that the issue was not as serious as it was made out to be.

"It was a typical family argument, the parent being a bit harsh on the kid. I am still learning," she said.

When asked if her daughter is still angry at her, Elaine said that Etta has calmed down and that everything is fine now.

"We are mother and daughter. We're family. I am so sorry for this. It just became a big deal because of my career in this industry," she said.

In fact, the issue made the news because of a similar incident back in 2015, when Etta reported to her school administration about the issue she had with Elaine back home. Although they were separated for a while, the mother and daughter were later reunited peacefully.

Although Elaine declined to explain the reason behind the latest spat, sources claimed that the mother and daughter quarreled after Etta refused to take some medication.

Her daughter reportedly called the police after Elaine, in her anger, told her, "Since you won't take them, you can just die!"
