Elaine Ng denies she's upset over recent article about past affair

5 Aug – Elaine Ng has dismissed the idea that she was enraged over recent allegations pertaining her past affair with Jackie Chan.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress previously shared an article by a veteran Hong Kong reporter, who claimed that she accepted a huge sum of money from Emperor Group's Albert Yeung to keep quiet about her affair with the action star.

She then commented that people should not be happily making things up and instead try to make other people happy.

When mentioned that she rarely responded to accusations before, Elaine, who spoke to the media recently, stated that she wasn't angry when she posted her statement, and that it was just a reminder for people not to hurt others with their words.

"I am Christian, but I have a lot of Buddhist friends around and they often say not to trade words and make trouble for yourself and others. I often say, 'This is a minor thing, forget it!' but this time, I just want to remind others to be better," she added.

On the other hand, Elaine revealed that she had just finished filming her new ViuTV drama, and had just went to the hospital for a physical examination.

"I've been taking advantage of the pandemic to rest and exercise," she added.
