Ekin Cheng wins Most Popular Actor at CKIFF
21 Nov – Hong Kong actor Ekin Cheng was recently named Most Popular Male Star at the 2nd China Korean International Film Festival.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at the event held at the Seoul Olympic Park Olympic Center recently, greeted the audience in Korean before giving his speech in Cantonese, saying that he is thankful for everyone's support.
"I believe I won this award this year because of the success of "The Golden Job". Thank you to the team and to everyone for the encouragement," he said.
On the other hand, "The Golden Job" director Chin Ka Lok won Best Action Director, also for his work on the said movie.
He said, "Thank you to the organisers for giving me this award. It is a great encouragement for me. I also want to thank the team, as well as Big Brother Jackie Chan for supporting the movie and investing in it."
In addition to Ekin and Chin, "The Golden Job" music composer Chan Kwong Wing also won the OST (Original Sound Track) Award.
