Edmond Leung postpones concert due to increase in COVID-9 cases

24 Jul – Despite his optimism about holding a concert in the times of pandemic, Edmond Leung recently confirmed that his upcoming Hong Kong Coliseum concert has been postponed.

As reported on Mingpao, the news of postponement came after the management of the Coliseum decided to close down its venue temporarily due to the latest wave of coronavirus, adding that it will implement new measures when it reopens.

In order to prevent inconvenience to the public, the organiser decided to postpone the concert, hoping for better news and that the pandemic situation improves.

Edmond stated that he has already received the notice of postponement from his record label.

"The company has made a reasonable decision. I will follow their arrangements," he said.

It is noted that the singer had been preparing well for the concert, having lost weight and also went through muscle training to ensure peak fitness for the October show. However, back in May, Edmond admitted that he would be ready for anything to happen seeing that the pandemic has yet to subside around the world.
