Edgar Wright has released a first image from his new movie Last Night in Soho.

The British filmmaker has been busy filming his new feature in and around the central London area and is teasing it on Instagram.

The picture looks to be of Thomasin McKenzie cowering in fear of something out of frame, which further backs up Wright’s description of the film as a “psychological horror.”

“That is a wrap on main unit photography on my next feature film, 'Last Night in Soho’,” he captioned the image on Instagram.

“Many thanks to my insanely talented cast of @thomasin.mckenzie, @anyataylorjoy, Matt Smith, @_michaelajao, as well as a few others for you to discover.”

He also posted the image on Twitter.

The film stars The Witch's Anya Taylor Joy, The Crown's Matt Smith and newcomer McKenzie, who will also appear in Taika Waititi's JoJo Rabbit.

Diana Rigg (Game of Thrones) and Terrance Stamp (Murder Mystery, Big Eyes) also feature in the British-heavy cast.

Last Night in Soho is Wright’s first feature since the critically-acclaimed Baby Driver, which was released in 2017.

“I realised I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years,” Wright told Empire back in January.

“With Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”

Last Night in Soho is set for release on 18 September, 2020.
