Edgar Wright signs up to direct movie about robot learning to love thanks to 80s films
Edgar Wright is lining up his next movie, an adaptation of a new book set in the near-ish future about an android learning to love.
Set My Heart to Five has been penned by writer Simon Stephenson, and it set in 2054 around Jared, a dentist robot who becomes inspired to love by watching 80s and 90s movies.
He then begins campaigning for humans to allow androids to 'feel', before embarking on a quest to meet his programmer and write a film script that will change the world.

Stephenson will write the screenplay for the movie from his own novel manuscript, with the book set to be published later this year.
Shaun of the Dead director Wright already has another movie in the can, currently set for release in September this year, lockdown restrictions permitting.
Inspired by Nicolas Roeg's classic Don't Look Now and Roman Polanski's Repulsion, Last Night In Soho is a psychological thriller, which Wright shot in London last year.

Though the plot is under wraps, it features an impressive cast.
Lead by Thomasin McKenzie and Anya Taylor-Joy, is also stars Matt Smith, Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp and Rita Tushingham.
Wright co-wrote the movie with Scottish screenwriter Krysty Wilson-Cairns, who co-wrote the screenplay for 1917 with Sam Mendes and worked on horror series Penny Dreadful.
