EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders fans can look forward to two strong characters locking horns as the Knight family roll up to Walford next week.
Ahead of his debut scenes, Colin Salmon, who portrays ex-boxer George Knight, weighed in on his character's first impression of Linda Carter.
"He recognises a fellow warrior — and there's some interesting parallels between them which will be explored," teased the former Arrow star.
"He's really impressed with how Linda has kept it together after losing Mick [Carter]. George is also impressed by Linda's fearlessness, but then she's Elaine [Peacock's] daughter, so he's not surprised. She's a formidable warrior, and he likes that."
Even though Kellie Bright's hardened character appears hostile towards George at the very beginning, he understands why.
"The Knights come in and cause chaos in her home!" noted Salmon. "He didn't realise that Elaine hadn't told Linda they were coming, but then George got all excited and arrived early, so it was as much his fault as hers.
"But George just has to be consistent, and eventually, Linda will warm to him, hopefully! It's just very difficult for now because they live together."
While providing a first look at the Knight clan last month, EastEnders producer Chris Clenshaw forecast a huge shake-up in the town.
"The arrival of the Knights brings a new dawn to Albert Square," he said.
"George Knight is a charming rogue and an old-school gent who dotes on his two daughters, Gina and Anna. George will take up residence in The Queen Vic when he joins his beloved Elaine, a powerhouse of a land-lady who knows just how to have fun."
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
