Eason Chan wins big at the 2018 GMA

25 Jun – Hong Kong singer Eason Chan has recently been named one of the big winners of the Golden Melody Awards, winning two of the major awards announced at the event on 23 June.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who was nominated in five categories for his album, "C'mon In~", bagged the award for Album of the Year, beating other worthy contenders including A-Mei's "Story Thief" and JJ Lin's "Message in a Bottle".

He also bested JJ, Xiao Yu, Haor and Nicky Lee to win Best Male vocalist, making it his third time winning the award.

The judges praised the singer's album for its mastery of music and exquisite songs, saying that the strength of his vocal performance is beyond question.

"What I want to say the most is that the Golden Melody Awards has always been very kind to me. I am very grateful," said the singer.

He also expressed his gratitude particularly to his manager Gan Jingjing, who has been with him since 2015.
