Eason Chan scolds university students for disrespecting him

4 Apr – Hong Kong singer Eason Chan is not one to tolerate disrespectful people, especially those whose focus are solely on their phone when he is on stage.

Thus, it is no surprise when the singer couldn't keep his annoyance to himself when he appeared at a university in Hong Kong as part of his "L.O.V.E. in F.R.A.M.E.S." university tour recently, Mingpao reported.

According to sources on social media, many students were already on their phones even before the singer and his team appeared on stage, paying no attention to the Eason and the DUO band music documentary that was playing on the screen.

However, the same thing went on as Eason, drummer Jun Kung and composer Carl Wong arrived at the event and began the forum. While the singer seemed to enjoy himself initially, the atmosphere turned sharply when it came time for the Q&A session.

The singer reportedly began to express annoyance when the first student asked to take some photos of him, while another showed off photos that he or she has taken of them prior to the event rather than ask real questions.

When a third student got up to ask Eason about his future plans in music, the singer apologised and said that he was too angry to answer the question. Eason stated that he feels disrespected after seeing a lot of the students playing with their phone instead of paying attention, and even asked students who have no intention to join in on the exchange to leave the venue.

Although the singer's mood changed for the better afterwards, it didn't ease the atmosphere and they decided to cancel the photo session following the event.
