16 Jul - Eason Chan successfully held his online concert, "Live is Much Better With Music", which was divided into two series of performances - a sunrise and a sunset concert.
As reported on Mingpao, the concert, which was held on 11 July, started at 6am at Tsim Sha Tsui's Avenue of the Stars, with the beautiful Victoria Harbour as the backdrop. He was accompanied by a live band and only four background singers - performing several songs in his 20 minutes show including "With You Always", "Angel's Present", and "The Sun Rises As Usual".
This section of the concert was pre-recorded.
His sunset part of the show started at 5.08pm and was held live at the Hong Kong Coliseum, despite having no audience in the seats. This segment of his show was more upbeat, with songs like "Laughing at the Misery of Others", "You Hear Me Well", and "Sunrise is Infinitely Good".
Eason also expressed his thoughts about the show, saying that it felt strange performing without an audience. He then thanked everybody involved in the making of the concert, and expressed hope that everybody will continue to remain vigilant while helping others in need through the hard times.
"Do more charity work, learn more beneficial things, say more good words, so the earth would benefit more and not be as mad at us!" he added.
He finally ended the concert at 6pm.
Proceeds from the online concert will be used to assist employees in the music industry badly affected by the pandemic.
