18 Jul - Dwayne The Rock Johnson just got a new cast mate in his upcoming "Shazam!" spinoff, "Black Adam".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Rock will be joined by "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" breakout star Noah Centineo.

The 24-year-old will be playing Atom Smasher in the movie, a masked superhero who can control his molecular structure, enabling him to manipulate his size and strength. The character was most recently seen in a small screen live-action adaptation, when he appeared in an episode of The CW's "The Flash".

Since plot details are being kept under wrap, there's no word yet on how Atom Smasher will fit into the Black Adam-focused movie.

"Black Adam", which The Rock is producing and starring in, will be helmed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who also directed him in "Jungle Cruise".

It currently still holds a 22 December 2021 release date in North American cinemas, though this might change since the pandemic has caused significant delay in the production, which The Rock previously mentioned was supposed to begin this month.

While waiting to catch the duo in "Black Adam", fans can first re-watch Centineo in last year's "Charlie's Angels" or this year's "To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You" and look forward to watching The Rock in next year's "Tom and Jerry" and "Jungle Cruise".
