The Duchess of Sussex is preparing for her return to royal duties, as the new mother’s first post-maternity engagement has been announced.

According to royal correspondent Victoria Murphy, the 38-year-old will launch her Smart Works capsule collection in London next Thursday (September 12).

The former actress collaborated with high street chains Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and Jigsaw on the project alongside close friend and fashion designer, Misha Nonoo.

The highly-anticipated line is designed to aid the charity organisation in helping unemployed and vulnerable women return to the workplace with ease.

The Duchess of Sussex famously took on the role of patron for the non-profit organisation back in January and has visited the London office several times for both public and private meetings.

Understandably, fans across the nation are pleased to learn of her comeback with a number of Twitter users expressing their delight at Meghan’s return from maternity leave.

“The Duchess is back!” one wrote.

“Already?! She works hard on her projects,” a second follower wrote. “Very cool to see.”

Last month, a behind-the-scenes video was shared via the official Sussex Royal Instagram account showing the Duchess of Sussex visiting the office during a photoshoot for the upcoming collection.

In the clip, Meghan can be seen helping to style the shoot with the women modelling the collection certainly pleased to see her.

“For each item purchased by a customer, one is donated to charity,” Meghan revealed in the September issue of British Vogue, which she guest edited. “Not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story, it reminds us we are in it together.”
