This afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge was named the new patron of The Royal Photographic Society, taking the reigns from the Queen.

To celebrate the achievement, the mother-of-three joined in on a photography workshop in Kingston to celebrate.

Embracing the summer heat, Kate chose a breezy paisley dress by Ridley London complete with frilly sleeves and a tie-belt for the public engagement.

Further demonstrating how to tackle the unpredictable weather, she paired the look with her go-to Castaner ‘Carina’ wedge espadrilles - the shoe of the season, also loved by the Duchess of Sussex.

To finish the daytime ensemble, the 37-year-old wore her hair in trademark loose waves with a pair of £850 18ct gold Catherine Zoraida earrings.

Sadly, the Duchess of Cambridge’s exact style of espadrille soon fell under the ‘Kate Effect’ though three colourways, famously worn by Meghan Markle, are still up for grabs.
