Dua Lipa Goes Punk-Chic in the Silkiest Shorts & Thigh-High ‘Grill’ Platform Boots

The “Don’t Start Now” singer, who is now up for an impressive six Grammy Award nominations this year, brought her edgy fashion up a level with her latest ensemble as seen on Instagram yesterday. In a press day-ready look, the British artist modeled a one-shoulder black satin top with a peek-a-boo arm cutout, all tucked into cinch-waist coordinating shorts.

The real kicker of her ensemble came with her choice of footwear. The “New Rules” songstress opted for a standout boot courtesy of Rick Owens; the lifted style came atop a 2-inch platform with a see-through 5-inch block heel for a heightened boost. The unique pair also featured a grill-inspired metal front plate and an angular top shaft design that slides right over the knee to skim the thigh. Dua Lipa is no stranger to a bold footwear moment. For Miley Cyrus’ birthday on Monday, for example, the musician joined her co “Prisoner” singer in a combo of edgy attire. Dua Lipa’s own outfit included fishnet tights, a bustier top and a pair of wild, lace-up platform boots that appeared to measure over 6 inches in height.
