Drew and Jonathan Scott Transformed This Family's Garage Into a Therapy Room
Everyone loves a good giveaway, especially when the most worthy people benefit. Last year, Drew and Jonathan Scott teamed up with home security company ADT to offer one lucky family a $250,000 home renovation, as well as a brand new ADT smart home security system. While the contest received over 11,000 applicants, one story touched the hearts of the Property Brothers stars more than the others.
California residents Jeff and Amber Moffitt are parents to six kids, three of which are adopted and two of which have special needs and require round-the-clock care. “We decided to enter because the contest prompt really spoke to us,” Amber told her local paper. “My husband and I both come from really big families, and we always knew we wanted to have one of our own, which is why we decided to become foster parents.”
She continued, “The contest asked us to share what we wanted to protect and why, and that was easy: our family! The chance to win a home makeover from the twins worth $250,000 and a new home security system certainly motivated us, too.”
The Scotts' makeover included a redesigned the kitchen to accommodate the Moffitts' large family, adding more storage and a breakfast bar; the brothers also converted the garage into a full-time therapy room, which doubles as a TV room and workout area. Check out the results below!

"Hands down, the best part of this entire process was seeing the Moffitt family's reaction when we unveiled the renovations to their home. Their excitement was so heartwarming," Jonathan said in a statement provided to House Beautiful by ADT. Yup, I think his face below says it all.
