Drew Barrymore swears ice cubes and eye drops are the key to tackling adult acne.
In the latest instalment of her "beauty junkie" videos on Instagram, the Hollywood actress/entrepreneur opened up about her recent battle with blemishes, noting that she currently has the "skin of a prepubescent boy".
However, Drew has found some success with holding ice cubes on any pesky pimples.
"I don't know why, whoever is in charge of feminine situations up above, but I can't stop breaking out lately. I don't know what it is, I don't know if it's hormonal, I don't know if it's weather, I don't know if it's diet. I'm eating so clean, haven't had a drink. I'm on the cleanest, clearest plan - I have been for months," she shared. "I got his huge zit, popped it (best ever!) and then I put ice on it. This morning, it's better. Although it's bright red and hideous and scabbed over and not going to be easy to cover, it literally made all of that toxic swelling that happens from when you're pushing on it... This should have lasted another day but by tomorrow, it's going to be gone."
Drew then went on to explain that she also dabs on a little Visine, a brand of eye drops, to relieve the surrounding redness.
"That Visine tricks works too. Put the Visine on the redness. And I swear to God, it really lightens it up," the 45-year-old insisted.
And in another video, Drew told her 12 million followers about the Caudalie Purifying Mask and demonstrated how she uses it.
Made with soft, white clays that work to absorb and remove excess oils, the mother-of-two either uses the formula all over her face or as a spot treatment.
"I like to put a lot in the pore area, which is for me, my nose and cheek/chin area," she added.
