Drew Barrymore Hits the Salon With Daughter Olive -- See the Adorable Pic!

Drew Barrymore is preparing to shoot the second season of her Netflix zombie comedy, Santa Clarita Diet, and the actress is getting some emotional support from her little girl along the way.

In an effort to get back into the character of Sheila Hammond -- the show's charming, flesh-eating real-estate agent -- Barrymore hit up the hair salon on Tuesday with her 4-year-old daughter, Olive, and the pair couldn't have been cuter.

Barrymore shared a sweet snapshot to Instagram showing her getting her hair dyed alongside her little girl. Olive clearly didn't want to miss out on the fun, so her mom noted that stylist Tracey Cunningham "puts conditioner in foils on her for solidarity."

On Monday, the 42-year-old star shared a makeup-free selfie showing off exactly what cosmetic changes she needed to start getting ready for filming.

"OH MY GOD How did I let it get this bad. Base and brows needed. Must become her," Barrymore captioned the close-up snapshot. "#santaclaritadiet here we go again. Season two."

Barrymore isn't content with simply getting styled, however. The actress also shared a video of one aspect of her rigorous exercise regime, which includes yoga, stretching and lunges.

"Start training with @marniealton and lose 10 pounds by eating super clean with @_kimberlysnyder who helped me lose 20 pounds for season one," Barrymore captioned the sweat-drenched clip. "After all the #santaclaritadiet is pretty severe. Gotta get back on track."

ET caught up with Barrymore in February, when the first season premiered on Netflix, and the star opened up about how playing the troubled, zombified hero helped her examine and reevaluate things in her own life following her split from ex-husband Will Kopelman.

"[Turning into a zombie] becomes an awakening for [Sheila's] life, and that gave me one too," Barrymore shared. "I lost like, 20 pounds playing her and had an attitudinal shift and plucked my eyebrows and, I don't know, just started thinking like a woman again. And it was amazing."

"[Sheila] has got this great feminist empowerment thing going for her that I think was very positive for me," Barrymore added, joking, "in a very sick and wrong way." Check out the video below to hear more.
