Downton Abbey Star Jessica Brown Findlay Gets Married in a Surprise Ceremony

Starting with Princess Beatrice, 2020 has been filled with surprise weddings. Now, we have another celebration to add to the list: Jessica Brown Findlay and Ziggy Heath. You'll recognize Findlay from her role as Lady Sybil Crawley on Downton Abbey, and she certainly had a wedding worthy of British nobility.

The 31-year-old married Heath, a fellow actor, who most recently appeared in the 2019 comedy film, How to Build a Girl, starring Beanie Feldstein. Findlay and Heath were officially wed on September 12, in London. The new bride later announced her marriage on her Instagram page.

"♥️wins every time. A weekend of dreams. Small celebrations felt HUGE. And now what a birthday! X I love you. ♥️," she wrote.

The actress paired her sweet note with two photos from the celebration. The first is a black and white shot of the happy couple, embracing in a hug. Jessica wears a lace, three-quarter-length sleeved dress and embellished headband, while Ziggy sported a white button-down shirt and vest with a pattered back. The second photo shows Jessica, looking elated, jumping on a bed in a red gown and matching headband.

Findlay shared other wedding details via her Instagram stories. The couple married in a London church—Findlay posted a photo of the duo embracing in the aisle, captioned "We did it." The photo also gives us a better look at Findlay's gown, which was floor-length, white (naturally), and embellished with floral lace. Heath opted for a traditional tuxedo for the ceremony.

Findlay also shared some sweet black and white photos of her and her new husband, where Heath carries Findlay in her wedding dress. The pair also posed on the back of a red double-decker bus. In a cute touch, the front of the vehicle said, "Wedding Special."

Also on her Instagram, Findlay gave a shoutout to her cake bakery, Lily Vanilli Bakery in London. The couple chose two pastel pink and green, tiered cakes with ruffled detailing. "Our cake was devoured in seconds!! We are beyond happy! Thank you @lily_vanilli_cake," Findlay exclaimed in her stories.
