30 Jan – Although his new film "Polar Rescue" has halted filming due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, Donnie Yen is still excited about the said project as it would show a different side of him as an actor.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor who sat down for an interview recently revealed that his character in the new Law Chi Leung movie would be nothing like audiences have ever seen before, as it would be completely dramatic.
"The characters are more complex in this movie. They really test your emotions," he said
Although there will be no extreme action scenes like in previous films, Donnie said that he still has several stunts, including one where he has to jump into the river.
Donnie also revealed that he plans to do more dramatic films in the future, and possibly make one about the relationship between father and son.
However, this does not mean he is planning to work with his own son James.
"My son is practising Brazilian Jiujitsu and Taekwondo. I think he has the potential, but he is still too young. Education is more important. Sometimes when it comes to an acting career, it chooses you instead of the other way around," he said.
