1 May - Starring and producing their first ever sitcom together since they became parents, Dingdong Dantes recently revealed that the new show, "Jose & Maria's Bonggang Villa" is based on an old skit.
As reported on GMA, the Kapuso royalty, who appeared alongside his wife Marian Rivera at the contract signing event held at the Luxent Hotel recently, stated that the inspiration came from some short videos which they did for a ketchup brand during the pandemic, which they titled, "Jose En Maria".
"We unlocked another aspect in our professional and personal relationship which we both believe can be elevated to a bigger platform like this one on television," he said.
On the other hand, Marian revealed that her serious-looking husband actually has a comedy side, though she teased that his timing is never good, which makes it even funnier.
"In our family, I am one of the clowns. They are already used to me," she added.
In "Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa", the real-life couple play newlyweds who open a garden inn. The weekly sitcom also stars Pekto, Zonia Mejia, Jamir Zabarte and many more.
