Before Donald Trump became President he was a reality TV star which meant he technically was eligible to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

However, ever since he decided to run for public office it has become a target of vandalism for some people and now someone has destroyed it completely for the second time.

The vandalism is believed to have occurred during the early hours of Wednesday morning with the Los Angeles Police Department telling The Hollywood Reporter, at around 6.20am, that a suspect had been taken into custody and processed.

The star is located near to 6859 Hollywood Blvd, and a pickaxe was left at the scene of the crime.

According to NBC reporter Jonathan Gonzalez, the suspect arrived with a guitar case, pulled the tool out and vandalised the landmark before calling the police to notify them of his crime.

“Multiple people — including police — tell me a man walked up with a guitar case and pulled out the pickaxe,” Gonzalez tweeted.

“Then, it’s believed, he called police himself to report it, but left the scene before they got here. Now, he’s nowhere to be found.”

The star had previously been destroyed in 2016, by 53-year-old James Lambert Otis, in protest of the remarks Trump had made about sexual assault to Billy Bush in a well-publicised tape.

Otis used a jackhammer and a pickaxe to demolish the star and later pleaded no contest to one felony count of vandalism.
