Donald and Melania Trump's Christmas Portrait

The Trumps released an official holiday message: "Merry Christmas from President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump," the first lady posted on Twitter Thursday along with the above official 2017 Christmas portrait.

The photograph was taken by Andrea Hanks on December 5, and it features the president and first lady posing in black-tie attire in the Cross Hall of the White House.

The first couple is standing between two of the White House's 53 Christmas trees - the official one is a Balsam fir that stands at a staggering 19 and a half feet in the Grand Foyer.
