Dolly Parton's Reaction To The Reopening Of Dollywood Is A Whole Mood

There's one force that unites us all...and that force is Dolly Parton. The singer-songwriter can do it all, and she recently visited Good Morning America to talk about her current projects, her philanthropy, and her experience returning back to the Dollywood amusement park for the first time since the onset of the pandemic.

Dolly joined Robin Roberts in Pigeon Forge, TN, to talk about her life since the pandemic and everything that Dollywood has done upon its reopening to the public. It was Dolly's first time back at the park in over a year and she said it was nice to see parkgoers enjoying their time.

"It was so exciting to see people out and where we can actually get out and be fairly normal again," Dolly said. The Flower & Food Festival is currently taking place at Dollywood through June 7, an event that had to be postponed and ultimately limited in 2020 due to COVID-19 safety regulations.

The crew at Dollywood are the real superstars behind the curtain, Dolly explained. "I think it's amazing how our crew has done all the things that they've done. The people here are like family, so any time you have a crisis of any kind you just kind of pull together and get it done."

As for the reopening of the park to the public, Dolly said that parkgoers should continue to follow local safety procedures but has hope for the light at the end of the tunnel: "We're not out of it yet but I can feel a new energy."
