DOLE says GMA violated three work safety regulations

6 Sep – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has recently reported its initial findings in the investigation pertaining to late actor Eddie Garcia's fatal accident on set of his new drama.

As reported on Inquirer, the report was presented by DOLE National Capital Region Director Sarah Mirasol, who appeared at the House of Representatives' hearing on 4 September, saying that GMA has violated three work safety regulation.

She stated, "We conducted a mandatory conference already. We notified them of the violations [in] our findings which are the following: the non-submission of report within 24 hours, the non-provision of safety officer and also the non-provision of first aid in the worksite."

Mirasol stated that the next meeting with GMA has been scheduled on 16 September.

Garcia passed away on 20 June after a week of critical condition after tripping on a wire on the set of drama, "Rosang Agimat".

He was 90.
