It seems ‘Star Wars’ actor Mark Hamill has a rather unique taste in jumpers…
He may have found success with one of the biggest movie franchises of all time, but Mark Hamill – that’s Luke Skywalker himself – is rather thrifty when it comes to his clothes.
At least, that’s what one Twitter user uncovered with these amusing photos which reveal he’s been hanging onto the same jumper for thirty years.
The images depict the 64-year-old ‘Star Wars’ actor wearing a snazzy, blue-green jumper…
But while the first few photos presumably show him during an interview around the time of the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy, we’re given a clearly more modern look at how the soon-to-be-iconic knitwear has aged.
And let’s face it – that jumper is holding up rather well.
But what’s the real story behind the blue-green sweater? Does it have some deeper meaning, or a rather sentimental, personal connection? Well… not quite.
“Once upon a time there was an ugly blue sweater,” said Mark Hamill via Twitter, “who had an owner who was very, very loyal & very, very cheap-The End”
Not exactly the story we were looking for. But if nothing else, this just goes to show how truly down-to-earth Mark Hamill really is.
And let’s be honest – we all love that sweater.
‘Star Wars VIII’ heads to cinemas on 15 December 2017.
