Music festival organiser Hydeout has arranged for MYRNE to play a virtual live show for fans of the Singaporean electronic dance music DJ staying at home.
MYRNE, whose real name is Manfred Lim, will play a one-hour #HydeAtHome dance set on Instagram Live at 8pm tomorrow (23 May) on Hydeout’s Instagram page, @hydeoutfestival.
Throughout the livestream, virtual attendees can interact with MYRNE and make song requests while partying.
MYRNE is among the many artistes who will be performing at the inaugural edition of the Hydeout festival in Singapore in October. Having played in major EDM leagues, MYRNE was the first Singaporean act to be signed by Ultra Records, the label behind international DJ heavyweights like Alan Walker and Steve Aoki.
MYRNE told Yahoo Lifestyle SEA, “I'm planning a feel good set that people can enjoy whilst stuck at home – a little different from my club sets but with some of my own music and some tracks I've been really enjoying during quarantine.”
When asked how the COVID-19 social distancing measures have affected him, MYRNE said, “COVID-19 has definitely impacted my ability to play gigs and live shows – but fortunately I don't rely on gigs to survive! Since the economy is essentially at a standstill, I've been taking this period as just a time to reorganise my output and take a break, essentially relaxing and working on new music.”
