Divorce without drama as Emma Maembong denies third-party involvement

21 Nov - Emma Maembong has dismissed the notion of a third-party involvement in her and ex-husband Muhammad Shazli Azhar's decision to call it quits on their marriage.

The actress, whose divorce came as a surprise to many fans, stated that even her family was shocked upon finding out that they have decided to go their separate ways.

"To me, being married is not an easy thing. There is no use for me to share the reason for the divorce. But I don't know what will happen in the future. What if we are meant to reconcile? It would be regrettable if I say something bad about him," she said.

At the same time, Emma said that she and her ex-husband are still okay with each other and that they are working with one another for the sake of their kids.

"We don't have to hate our former partner once we're divorced, let alone to torture our children's mental health. In our case, dad is a hero and mum is a superwoman to them. There is no need to fight between each other and hurt the kids in the process," she added.

Emma shocked many back in October when she admitted to have already completed her three-month iddah period while there was no hint about her and Shazli ending their marriage.
