Dingdong Dantes unsure he will be part of "Descendants"
22 Jan – Dingdong Dantes recently admitted that he has no knowledge as to whether he will be involved in GMA-7's upcoming new drama, "Descendants of the Sun".
As reported on PEP, the actor, who was one of the actors whose name has been floated to play the lead in the Pinoy remake of the Korean hit series, admitted that he hasn't actually watched the original drama, which starred Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-gyo.
"I honestly haven't seen it, but [if it's true], why not?" he said, though added that he would have to watch the series first if he is to consider the offer if there is one.
On the other hand, when mentioned that fans would like to see his wife Marian River playing Song Hye-gyo's character in the Pinoy remake if he is playing the lead, Dantes responded, "I wish!"
"One of the things I hope to happen is to work with Marian on television. But of course, it's too late. Even if it is offered to her, she won't be able to do it now or even next year. So maybe not," he said.
It is noted that Rivera is currently pregnant with the couple's second child and first baby boy.
