20 Dec – Dingdong Dantes recently admitted that he is excited for both him and wife Marian Rivera, who will return to television with their own respective dramas in 2020.

As reported on GMA News, the actor, who will be returning with the highly-anticipated series, "Descendants of the Sun" alongside Jennylyn Mercado, shared that he really enjoyed playing his role as Captain Lucas and to participate in such a great romantic drama.

"The Descendants of the Sun is pure at heart, especially the characters and the story. It looks epic with all the wars but behind it all is a beautiful love story, right? Maxine and Lucas' love, and Diego and Moira's as well. Their love for the people, for their work, and their dedication. It's very exciting," he said.

The upcoming series also stars Rocco Nacino and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

At the same time, Dantes said he is also excited for his wife's return to television after her previous hiatus to focus on their second child Ziggy.

"I am sure a lot of people miss seeing her performance, and I would also love to see her on television too," he said.

Rivera is part of the 2020 series, "First Yaya" alongside Gabby Concepcion, in which she plays the role of a nanny to the President of the Philippines' children.
