16 Jul - Always the romantic, Dicky Cheung recently admitted that he couldn't wait to go home to his wife after completing the filming of his TVB comeback drama, "The Learning Curve Of A Warlord", in Hong Kong.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who was on set to shoot a fight scene in his warlord costume for the said drama, shared that wife Zhang Qian is currently in mainland China for some business. He stated that she will return to Hong Kong soon to be with him as he will be on a one-week break while waiting for the crew to set up for the next shoot.
"I haven't seen her for three months. We only saw each other on the phone, and even that we only do when I wasn't filming. I would never talk on the phone while on the set," he said.
He also expressed sympathy for his co-stars who have to focus on filming the drama for six months, even though they admitted to have benefited from Dicky's contractual term of shooting less than 12 hours per day.
"They may have lost a lot of real good offers to do this. I would love to compensate them. I will recommend them in future projects," he said.
When asked if he is doing okay filming in the summer heat, Dicky admitted that every day feels like an impending heat stroke.
"I had headaches, dizziness, and nausea. Fortunately, I didn't get sick," he added.
