Details Of Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Deleted Scenes Released

While ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was the seventh instalment to the franchise it also introduced a cavalcade of new characters that we still don’t know that much about.

That means that any further details regarding the likes of Rey, Finn, Maz Kanata, Poe Dameron, Kylo Ren, and even BB-8 is eaten up fervently.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’’ deleted scenes are the perfect source for this, and now Entertainment Weekly have released further information about these sequences, which will be included in the home entertainment release next month.

But what do these deleted scenes entail? Well, one of them, which was originally intended to be at the start of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, sees John Boyega’s FN-2187, still in his Stormtrooper attire, face to face with a woman in a small building and then raising his weapon to shoot her dead.

Another also features Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), and Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong’o) coming face to face with a pack of Stormtroopers in the basement of the latter’s castle. How do they get out? With Han’s usual brand of swagger and wit, of course.

Meanwhile there’s another sequence involving Adam Driver being pulled closer to the light side while on the Millennium Falcon, an earlier introduction for General Leia, Poe Dameron leading another squadron assault on Starkiller base, Finn and Rey in a snowspeeder chase with First Order Stormtroopers, and Rey being provided with an update of Finn’s injury after his lightsaber battle with Kylo Ren,

Each of these scenes don’t drastically change the plot, but they add a little more depth and context to the characters and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. You’ll get to see them all for yourself when ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is released on Blu-Ray/DVD on April 18.
