Derek Tsang happy "Better Days" wins three accolades

25 Mar – Derek Tsang recently expressed his delight over news that his movie, "Better Days" was named the big winner at the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the filmmaker expressed his gratitude towards the good news on social media, revealing that the movie won Best Film, Best Director for himself and Best Actress for lead star Zhou Dongyu.

He posted, "Thank you to all the seniors and fellow peers who voted for us. To receive the affirmation from the directors' guild is particularly significant to me."

He also congratulated Zhou in the same post, and thanked all the other cast who participated in the movie.

"I hope that the pandemic will end soon," he added.

The film's production team also took to social media to express their happiness over the big win, writing, "We will stay true to our original intention, to work hard on creating new stories and not disappoint everyone. At the same time we wish that the pandemic will quiet down soon and that everyone will be safe. Together, we will make even more good movies in the future."
