30 Dec - Singer-activist Denise Ho was one of the six people who was arrested by the Hong Kong police for conspiracy to publish a seditious publication.

As reported on Oriental Daily, on 29 December morning, the police raided the office of Stand News, an independent media outlet, whereupon they had seized several journalistic materials that were alleged to be in breaches of the national security laws.

Denise is said to be one of the four former board members of the said news outlet, aside from former pro-democracy lawmaker Margaret Ng.

Prior to the arrest, Stand News posted a video on Facebook of police officers at the home of deputy editor Ronson Chan, who is also the chair of the Hong Kong Journalists Association.

Fans of Denise have since posted messages of encouragement on her Instagram account and wishing for her safety.
