Deep Ng will not give up on music

19 Dec – Although his music career had been sinking and floating to the surface continuously for many years following his previous drug scandal, Deep Ng admitted that he never thought about changing his career.

In an interview with Mingpao recently, the singer-songwriter revealed that he would never leave the music industry no matter what obstacles he encounter, and would do anything he can to survive in showbiz.

"Currently, I am teaching voice lessons, setting up my clothing brand, and running youth football training in order to survive. My dad is very old. Although he doesn't need me, as a son, I must take care of him," he said.

Deep also stressed that pursuing a dream should be the basis of living a life, which is why he would continue to strive in the business.

"You have to make an effort to pursue it. This is called chasing the dream. Otherwise, it's just a daydream," he added.

Asked if he has regretted his past mistake, the singer said that he could never turn back the past and would instead accept it and bear the consequences.

It was back in 2004, two years after he made his debut, that Deep was arrested for the possession of illegal drugs. He later made several other negative headlines for supposedly cheating on his girlfriend with multiple women, earning him the nickname, "the bad boy" of the music industry.

The singer made the news yet again recently, after he and his latest girlfriend Anita Chui ended their romance with the latter accusing Deep of not making an effort in their relationship.
