30 Dec – Hong Kong singer Deep Ng recently addressed the issue concerning his breakup with model-actress Anita Chui, saying that he was not trying to fool the media by pretending that they were doing fine earlier.
As reported on Mingpao, earlier this month, the singer sparked controversy after speaking to the media about the great relationship he had with the actress, only for her to announce their breakup on social media hours later.
Addressing the issue at the 2019 Metro Radio Hit Awards recently, Deep - who won two accolades at the event - said that he and Anita were indeed fine the day he spoke to the media, and that the fall-out happened that night when they communicated with each other.
"Our personalities really didn't match. The breakup really had nothing to do with anything else," he said.
As for Anita calling him a liar, the singer said that the media would have to ask her about it, as he himself was clueless as to what she was talking about.
"She was probably referring to the reason for the breakup, that I was lying about not being able to make time for it because of my job. She accused me of lying to the general public," she said.
He added that there was no reason for him to explain himself as he never lied about it.
"This is a problem between two people. There is no need to expose it to the world. That's not mature. But as long as she is happy, that's fine by me. I wish her well," he said.
