Debra Messing still hangs with her ex’s family and we think that’s absolutely amazing

Lately, Debra Messing has been making headlines for the Will & Grace revival, which we will remind you, we are very excited about.

But obviously, that’s not the only thing going on in her life. By the looks of Debra Messing’s Instagram, she also makes spending time with loved ones a priority.

And even though she’s no longer dating Will Chase, she still stays on good terms with his family.

We think that’s pretty awesome.

Debra and Will dated for two-and-a-half years. It seems that during that time, she became close with Will’s ex-wife, Lori Chase, as well as their 15-year-old daughter, Gracie Chase. They all met up recently for a get-together. And Debra’s son, 13-year-old Roman Zelman, was there, too. (Roman’s dad is Debra’s ex-husband, Daniel Zelman.)

Here they all are, having a grand old time.

We think it’s really amazing that despite ended relationships, these four make an effort to see and support one another. Since Roman and Gracie are similar ages, they likely have a tight bond. It’s so awesome that their moms foster that friendship and allow it to blossom.

Of course, Debra isn’t the only celeb that hangs out with her ex’s family. Demi Lovato is still really close with the Jonas brothers after splitting from Joe. Similarly, Kate Hudson is still super close with former flame Chris Robinson’s family. And some of the best parenting duos are couples who have since gotten divorced, like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, or Demi Moore and Bruce Willis.

Romantically entwined or not, all that matters is that there’s plenty of love to go around!
