Deadpool 2 scheduled to start shooting in May!
After the runaway success of last year’s Deadpool (see our review), there’s been lots of anticipation for the sequel. Sure, we might not see a Wolverine cameo in the sequel anymore, but fans have been clamouring for more of the foul-mouthed mercenary.
Good news! Citing sources, Comicbook.com is reporting that the next Deadpool movie will start shooting in May, to be helmed by director David Leitch after Tim Miller exited the project.
The only problem is that aside from star Ryan Reynolds, Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenager Warhead) and Karan Soni (Deadpool’s favourite cab driver Dopinder), no other names have been attached to the project. This is despite the fact that writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have teased that we may see “a lot of characters” in the sequel.
While all of this news is good, I’ll save my real excitement for when they finally announce who’s playing Cable. Until then, save me a chimichanga or two.
