‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow’: Matt Letscher Joins Cast; Obsidian, Stargirl & Dr. Mid-Nite Coming In Season 2 – Comic-Con

At today’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the CW show’s producers and cast revealed that some familiar faces, Obsidian, Stargirl and Dr. Mid-Nite, will be making an appearance in Season 2.

They also announced that Legends of Tomorrow will be facing off against the Legion of Doom Super-Villains, otherwise known as Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), the Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). The producers also debuted a first-look clip that you can watch above.

Letscher, who played the Reverse-Flash/Eobard Thawne on The Flash, will join Legends as a series regular. Deals with Miller and Barrowman were announced earlier this summer, allowing their characters to appear across multiple shows, and McDonough’s Damien Darhk character will now have a recurring role on the series.

The Legends‘ panel featured series stars Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, with Nick Zano and Dominic Purcell, along with executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Phil Klemmer.

In the season one finale, the legendary heroes encountered Rex Tyler aka Hourman (Patrick J. Adams) who issued a dire warning. It was to be their first encounter with a member of the Justice Society of America and now some of Tyler’s fellow JSA members will be making a return appearance in season two. Obsidian, Stargirl and Dr. Mid-Nite roles have yet to be cast, so stay tuned for that.

“For season two of Legends, we decided that the perfect antagonist for TV’s first-ever team of Super Heroes would be TV’s first-ever team of Super-Villains, recruited from the ranks of Arrow and The Flash’s deadliest adversaries,” said EP Guggenheim. “Being huge fans of the Challenge of the Superfriends, we’ve come to call this group our ‘Legion of Doom.’”

Based on the characters from DC, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series returns for season two on Thursday, October 13 on The CW.
