Dayo Wong is no longer a "box-office poison"
22 Feb – Dayo Wong is a "box-office poison" no more, as his new movie, "Agent Mr. Chan" made a big splash in cinemas.
As reported on Mingpao, the new movie in which Dayo plays a has-been secret agent trying his best to prove he is ready to make his comeback, accumulated HKD 10 million just from its Valentine's Day screening and the Lunar New Year box office.
Speaking to the media at the audience appreciation event held recently, Dayo stated that he is happy with the positive reception and good reviews he read online.
"I have to sincerely thank the audience and all the superstars who made a cameo in the movie to show their support. This is just a start. I hope there will be something more next," he said.
When asked if part of his luck was due to Charmaine Sheh's involvement in the movie, Dayo agreed, saying that he would love to work with the actress again in future projects.
