Davina McCall has responded to criticism she faced after posting a bikini photo by sharing a telling comparison shot from the “same day”.

On Friday, the 50-year-old TV presenter took to Instagram to share a bikini selfie to her 890K followers.

As Davina – who is currently training to become a qualified personal trainer with LDN Muscle’s PT Academy – posed in a J Crew, floral two-piece bikini, the mum-of-three accompanied the snapshot with an empowering body positive message.

Unsurprisingly though, the body shamers also had something to say about Davina’s bikini selfie with some accusing the presenter of being too thin.

“Is it any wonder so many young girls end up with eating disorders, plus it’s extremely ageing, not a good look at all,” one user penned.

“NOT a very good example for anyone in anyway shape or form. Far too thin. But it’s your body,” added another.

Now, Davina has taken to Twitter, not to apologise but to post a second bikini photo.

Placing it side-by-side the controversial snap, the second photo shows Davina with her abs slightly less defined.

“Two pics… same day,” the ‘Million Pound Drop’ host wrote. “I chose one on the right coz I liked my 6 pack but just so you can all calm down here is one without.”

“Look at my insta… happy and healthy,” she finished.

While trolls claiming Davina was still “too thin” found there way onto the post, many supporters of Davina stood up for her.

“You don’t need to justify yourself to anyone @ThisisDavina it’s people who aren’t happy in their own skin who pass judgement on others,” one user penned.

Another said: “It’s so wrong you even have to explain yourself. You look amazing in both.”

Our thoughts? Davina shouldn’t have to justify her gorgeous selfie to anyone.
