David Beckham feels stylish when his son Brooklyn Beckham borrows clothes from his wardrobe.
The 44-year-old former soccer player, who also shares three other children with wife Victoria Beckham – Romeo, 17, and Cruz, 14, and daughter Harper, eight – has confessed that he’s secretly pleased when the 20-year-old budding photographer wants to wear his clothes.
And while David, who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), leaves his wardrobe immaculately tidy, he knows when his kids have raided his designer closet because they mess it up.
"They are not as tidy as me. So, when I walk into my closet I can see (that), ‘Right OK… he (Brooklyn) has had those jeans, that jumper,'" he told Britain’s Evening Standard. "I see it as a good thing. I must be doing something pretty cool for a 20-year-old to be wanting to borrow my stuff.”
David also revealed that he recently caught Brooklyn wearing one of his expensive suits that he hadn't even had a chance to wear himself.
“The other day he FaceTimed me from a restaurant. And I was like, ‘I have seen that suit somewhere before.’ So, I said, ‘Mate, what suit have you got on?’ And he was like, ‘Erm, I borrowed it from your wardrobe,'" the sportsman complained. "And I was like, ‘Mate, I have just bought that suit, I’ve not even worn it.’ It was funny. I said to him: ‘When you get in tonight, hang it up.’ And he did.”
Elsewhere in the interview, David, who has been a long-term partner with sports giant Adidas, admitted he is addicted to buying trainers.
“I am a big trainer collector. You know what, I have quite a lot. I don’t know the number, but I have a fair few," he shared.
