New "Darna" Jane de Leon is thankful for the opportunity
19 Jul – 20-year-old actress Jane de Leon recently took to social media to finally share her thoughts about playing the female superhero Darna in the upcoming ABS-CBN movie.
As reported on Push, the actress, who was chosen among the 300 female actress who auditioned for the role, posted on Instagram, "Thank you so much for the trust! I promise to work hard and give it my all."
Among celebrities who congratulated de Leon include Angel Locsin, the original Darna star who had to withdraw from the project in 2015 due to her spinal injury.
The actress wrote, "Congratulations, Jane de Leon".
Megan Young, Inigo Pascual, and Mikee Agustin also expressed their happiness for the actress, with the latter saying, "So proud!"
