14 Mar – Hong Kong filmmaker Dante Lam recently reminded fans not to be deceived by scams involving his new movie, "Emergency Rescue".
As reported on Oriental Daily, the director, who is currently shooting the movie in mainland China, dismissed rumours that they are soon to begin shooting in the Maldives and that they are supposedly seeking local divers to assist with production.
"We are currently waiting for the mainland production to wrap, and then we will shoot in Mexico. There is no plan to go to the Maldives," he said.
Dante also admitted that similar scams concerning his movie have surfaced before.
"Earlier, some people took a few photos of [lead actor] Eddie Pang shooting in a swimming pool and pretended that they were representing him. We hope that people will not fall for this, and to report such scams to the authority so that we can prevent it from happening again," he said.
