Danny Glover to join Robert Redford in 'Come Sunday'

Best known for the "Lethal Weapon" movies, Danny Glover's TV credits include "ER," "Touch" and "Brothers & Sisters"

Danny Glover has been confirmed to join Robert Redford in upcoming Netflix movie "Come Sunday" reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The "Lethal Weapon" actor will also star alongside British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor in the film, inspired by the true story of an evangelical minister.

"Maria Full of Grace" director Joshua Marston will helm the project.

The story is based on a 2005 episode of "This American Life" which focused on the story of Carlton Pearson, to be played by Ejiofor.

Pearson was a renowned evangelical minister in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who, after stating that there is no hell, lost both his church and his family and had to rebuild his life.

Redford will star as televangelist Oral Roberts with Glover set to play Carlson Pearson's uncle Gilbert Pearson.

The actor most recently appeared in "Dirty Grandpa" and indie flick "Mr. Pig" and can next be seen in "Monster Trucks" with Rob Lowe and Amy Ryan.
