Danny Boyle tips Robert Pattinson as the next James Bond
Sadly, Danny Boyle probably has less say than most on who will be the next James Bond, but he's thrown his suggestion in the ring nonetheless.
The Trainspotting helmsman, who walked away from the director's chair of Bond 25 over creative differences, wants Robert Pattinson in the tux.

Boyle told The Guardian that it was while watching Pattinson in the movie High Life that he had the sudden realisation.
“And it was so bizarre, because I was sitting there thinking: ‘Oh my God, they should get him to be the next Bond,’” he said.
Asked, for some reason, if he didn't think the 33-year-old actor was too old, he added: “No, no. He must be in his 30s. How old was Connery? He’s ready now.”
Pattinson launched his career in the Twilight movies, as the sullen vampire Edward Cullen, and also playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
But he's since shaken off his teen idol image, taking increasingly acclaimed roles in movies like Denis's sci-fi horror High Life with Juliette Binoche, and indie hit Good Time.

He's also fronting Christopher Nolan's new top secret project Tenet, with BlacKkKlansman star John David Washington.
But whoever takes on the role, it won't be Boyle behind the camera.
He told Metro this week: “I learned my lesson that I am not cut out [for franchises] otherwise you’re digging in the same hole.
“I am better not quite in the mainstream franchise movies, is the honest answer.”
