Dani Barretto is in awe with sister Julia's courage
20 Aug – Dani Barretto recently expressed awe for actress sister Julia Barretto for the way she handled herself in the issue concerning Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson's breakup.
As reported on Push, the vlogger, who spoke about her sister recently, stated that she saw the level of courage that Julia reflected throughout the controversy, despite being dragged unwillingly into the mix when the latter was accused of being the third party.
"She is such a fighter. She is very young, but the amount that she has to go through, it's great to see her as she is. She knows where she can feel the way she feels. But she doesn't show any weakness in front of us. She keeps saying, "I can do this". We believe she can," she said.
Dani admitted that she also received backlash from netizens from defending Julia, though stressed that she is not fazed by it.
"The funny thing is, when you defend your sister you get bashed for it. Apparently in this country it's not allowed. But it's okay. I can take it. I don't regret anything," she said with a laugh.
As to whether she gave her sister any advice in dealing with the criticism, Dani said that Julia is very mature for her age.
"What we did was just stay by her side. We didn't leave her alone. Now everything is getting better. Everyone is moving forward," she said.
