Dance-pop singer Charli XCX won't be dancing much for ATA 2016
British singer-songwriter Charli XCX may be well-known for creating dance-pop songs that are fun to party to, but she probably won’t be dancing too much for her performance at the annual Asian Television Awards (ATA) on Friday (2 Dec).
The reason? “Something rolled over my leg at a party in Paris,” she nonchalantly replied when asked about her knee guard,
Charli XCX was in Paris less than a week ago according to her Instagram account, which she professes she can’t go one day without checking.

However, since arriving in Singapore on Wednesday, she hasn’t been able to log in on to the social media platform.
“My phone doesn’t work while I’m here so it’s really stressing me out, because I’m like ‘what’s going on?!’,” said the 24-year-old.
Best known for the hit song “Boom Clap” from the movie “The Fault In Our Stars”, Charli XCX (real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison) will be headlining this year’s ATA alongside local Mandopop singer JJ Lin at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
She was previously in Singapore for a concert at Hard Rock Hotel’s The Coliseum last April. The first single from her upcoming untitled third album, “After The Afterparty”, was recently released on 28 Oct under her own record label, Vroom Vroom Recordings.
