Cristine Reyes wins Fantasporto's Best Actress
10 Mar – Cristine Reyes has recently won Best Actress at the 40th Oporto International Film Festival (Fantasporto).
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the news was recently announced by VIVA Artists Agency on its official Instagram account, which read, "Congratulations to our very own, Cristine Reyes for winning the BEST ACTRESS award at the recent OPORTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in her portrayal of MARA in the film UNTRUE!"
"We're very proud of you," the agency added.
Directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo of "Kita Kita" fame, "Untrue" tells the story of Mara, an abused woman who seeks help from the Georgian police to deal with her husband (played by Xian Lim), only for everything to turn into a case of "he said, she said".
