15 Mar – Filipino actress Crisel Consunji recently expressed happiness over being awarded by the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild for her performance in the movie, "Still Human".
As reported on Inquirer, the Hong Kong-based actress, who was honoured with Best Newcomer award at the Guild's 30th anniversary dinner in Tsim Sha Tsui earlier this week, expressed, "This is so exciting! I didn't even know they would hand out awards this evening, so I had to make something up on the spot."
She also expressed gratitude towards the team of "Still Human", whose movie gave the chance to people in society who have not had the chance to be heard.
Consunji is also nominated at the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards for two categories - Best Actress and Best New Performer.
In "Still Human", Consunji plays the role of a Filipino domestic worker who puts her dream on hold and earns a living by taking care of a paralysed older gentleman (Anthony Wong).
