CRHK to move forward with 2019 Ultimate Song Chart Awards

27 Dec – After previously cancelling its live awards event, Commercial Radio Hong Kong (CRHK) revealed that it will indeed hold its annual Ultimate Song Chart Awards as usual.

As reported on Mingpao, the news was announced by the station through its official website, saying that the show will be held on New Year's Day.

"The result of the major awards will be announced on 8.30pm on 1 January on multiple online channels, while its live broadcast will be aired on ViuTV," the announcement read.

However, the station made no mention as to where the event itself will take place.

It was early this month that CRHK announced that it will not be holding its annual live awards, following the announcement made by rival station RTHK that it will be cancelling the Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Award due to the civil unrest that has been going on in Hong Kong for the past several months.
